John,
The statistics are pretty scientific and they speak for themselves. Do you track your’s? If not, look at your stats and you’ll see what I mean. I can go back in time. I can see the top landing pages, the top exit pages.

Let’s say that Sarah and Sally are in the experiment. If they both see a JUMP in traffic, and their top landing pages for those 3 months are the pages that people posted in their weekly “check out these posts” round-up, then I will know the experiment worked.

I mean, it is VERY unlikely that those results would be a random coincidence.

Do you see what I am saying? Does this make sense to you at all?

I’m just being curious. I was genuinely interested in how you’d conduct this experiment. I’m not trying to argue.

Yes, I write about drugs – I have a degree in pharmacology and have been in national newspapers, radio and TV discussing what I write about.

Granted, you’re more of a marketer and I’m more of a scientist, but within science, open and frank discussion of methods is a good thing. It helps people iron out flaws in their experiments and produce meaningful results. Perhaps the world of marketing is much more opaque than the good ol’ peer review system that’s worked so well for science?

Oh, and I don’t write about making bombs. :^|

Dude. I said earlier I’m going to look at the statistics. I’ve checked out your site. I see that your name is John, and that you talk a lot about drugs and how to make bombs. I wish you the best of luck with that. But I’m done arguing with you or trying to prove myself to you on my own blog. That’s what I though – you’re trying to promote some natural growth above and beyond just referrals. So, back to my original question – how will you differentiate between growth because of this experiment and normal growth?
