Very well said, Angela! I think that marketing has to be authentic! People can spot phony marketing a mile away. It does not help a business at all!
Angela,
Very timely post. It seems I have managed to amass quite a large mailing list over the last year but am still reluctant to mail to them as I don’t know how I can be my authentic self while marketing at the same time. You get used to seeing so much hype and exclamation points in marketing e-mails that it seems as if that is the only way to sell. The one thing you may recall me saying when I first met you was how very real you come across in your newsletters. I’m definitely going to get your Marketing from the Heart report to get some inside tips as to how you manage to stay so sweet and yet offer so many great products.
Thanks Crissy and Michelle.
Michelle I know you have so much amazing stuff to share, I’d say just start sharing and be you. I’m so glad this point hit on that because at one time I also felt like I HAD to market like some of the guru’s did at first or it wouldn’t work. But softer marketing does work, it really does and at the end of the day you get to go to bed feeling great about who you are. That’s a very good thing
