A Busy Girl’s Guide To Happy Eating

It’s the first Monday in January … This is the day that people are starting diets. If this sounds familiar … WAIT.

My friend Shannon Vetere (from SkinnySometimes) has launched her first ebook today (and I’m so, so proud of her, by the way) This ebook could really help you, if you are one of the people who wants to get healthy and fit this year!

A Busy Girl’s Guide To Happy Eating isn’t a diet.

This is a 6 week plan to eat better and feel better emotionally.

  • Yes, you will receive 6 weeks of menus for breakfast and lunch.
  • Yes, you will receive recipes.
  • You’ll also receive complete food prep instructions, grocery lists, and ideas for how to use your leftovers.

I’m serious when I say that Shannon has thought of everything!

You’ll also receive something else … Daily Self-Care Activities to help you feel better on the inside.

Each week of the 6 week plan has a theme, and they include: Self-Expression, Confidence, Beauty, Focus, Relaxation, and Celebration.

There are affirmations and daily activities for you to challenge you. Don’t worry – it’s things like taking a selfie or giving someone a compliment. But all of these daily acts help YOU feel better about yourself. There’s also a journaling component.

Why? Because Shannon wasn’t born perfect. She has had some experiences where she was teased about her appearance. She knows what it’s like to not have confidence in yourself. She has done the emotional eating. She knows that simply “eating less and exercising more” isn’t always the key.

A Busy Girl’s Guide To Happy Eating is only $25. I think it is worth much more than that!

I’ll admit – I’m not always the best when it comes to food planning and prep. I may work at home, but I’m not always at home.

There are several days a week where I’m out of the house by 6:15am so I can watch my niece and /or get my nephews to school. And I’ve been known to stop at the Tim Horton’s drive thru for a double double & pack of Timbits (that’s a coffee with 2 creams, 2 sugars and 10 donut holes).

OR I find myself going go the grocery store several times a week to get things for dinner .. OR I work all day and realize it’s 9pm, I haven’t put any thought into food planning or prep, and I end up eating chips and salsa. Sound familiar?

I’ve picked up some awesome tips and strategies from this book – and I’ve already tried some of the recipes. For example – yesterday, I made a big batch of steel cut oats in the crockpot. Genius, right?! I ate a bowl this morning. No Tim Horton’s for me today! haha

Yes. Shannon is my friend, and yes, I’m including my affiliate link in this post. I’m not recommending this book to you because of those things.

I’m recommending this because I think it’s great information, it’s well thought-out and it’s put together to make healthy eating and self-care very easy and simple to practice.

This isn’t a plan that makes you feel like a loser if you can’t follow strict guidelines and do 3 hours of intense cardio a day.

This is a plan that will help you feel good about yourself!

And isn’t that an awesome way to start a New Year?!
