My niece Paisley is now 8 and a half months old.
On one hand, it seems like I wrote her birth announcement post just yesterday. On the other hand, it seems like she’s been with us much longer.
She can now say “Dada” and likes to babble and laugh. She loves taking baths and even dances before she gets in the tub. Yep. Bath dances. She’s been standing by herself, as long as she can hold onto something, for a while now and she literally dances before she gets in the tub. (I have video to prove it.)
She has her bottom two teeth, her upper side teeth, and is currently cutting her two front teeth. All of her teeth have come in pairs so far.
She is not liking naps much and doesn’t want to be touched by strangers, but she smiles from ear to ear when she sees someone she knows, while greeting them with a wave.
I’m trying like crazy to teach her to kiss. And I can’t wait to hear her little voice say “I love you,” but in the meantime, I’m enjoying every little baby moment while I can. She’s going to be a toddler before I know it….
Oh, and p.s. – she already loves to take “selfies.” If you’re not hip on the lingo, that’s when you take a picture of yourself. That picture of us is a selfie. I’ll sit her on my lap and turn the camera on my phone toward us and she LOVES it.
