Power Redefined

POWER REDEFINED is the inaugural Women’s Summit being put on by Forbes on May 8 – 9 in New York. You can stay up to date by following the hashtag #redefinepower on Twitter.

There’s definitely an impressive lineup of discussions scheduled for the event. (they are calling them discussions – and say they will be different than a traditional speaker or panel presentation)

Here is what they had to say about the event:

“Forbes will hold a very different kind of women’s summit—not about women’s issues, but about how millennials can join forces with more traditional leaders to help solve society’s most critical issues and redefine the notion of power through innovation and disruption,” said Forbes Women’s Summit Host and President of ForbesWoman Moira Forbes.

“Most importantly, it will be an open discussion among all attendees, a diverse group of stakeholders, including CEOs, entrepreneurs, philanthropists, innovators, disruptors, educators, heads of foundations and NGOs, artists and politicians. Everyone in the room will be an active participant — and more than 250 guests have been invited specifically because they have something to contribute to this high-level, peer-to-peer discourse.”

The series of discussions will cover topics from global politics and policy, business management and innovation, health, technology, education, government and entrepreneurship. These discussions – unlike traditional panels – will not end with questions and answers, but rather a conversation on the floor.

The Forbes Women’s Summit is presented by Cadillac and Van Cleef & Arpels. Partners of the summit are AARP Foundation and Chobani; NetApp, Skype and Ernst & Young are supporting sponsors.
