If you know me very well, you know that I love Twitter. I’m on there a little bit every day… Sometimes I’m on there more than a “little bit”…. sometimes I’m on there a lot. I used Twitter to document my nephew’s field trips, road trips with my friends, and even to complain about the waiting time at the doctor’s office…And oh, yeah, I also use it for business!
The following list of people are all women in business who I think you should be following. They offer great tips and insight, and you can definitely learn a thing or two from them.
But my opinion, of course, is not the end all and begin all. I want to hear who you think we, as Indie Biz Chicks, should follow! I created this form where you can nominate who you think we should be following. Nominations will be accepted through October 14, 2009. To nominate someone, please click here.
Without further ado, here are some very smart biz chicks that I recommend you follow on Twitter:

Great List! I’m proud to be included 🙂
Thank you for including me. This business owner thing is one exciting ride!
Oh, thank you so much for including me!
Hey sweets – love your description on your bio. As someone who quit working for the man 15 years ago, there’s no better way to spend your life, career, etc. Great job – and thanks so much for the nod, I am honored.
Thanks for this awesome list! I look forward to learning more about these amazing women!
Honored to make the list, Crissy. Thank you for the shout.
Why just indie biz chix? i know u know indie biz dudes too.
Wow what an honor Chrissy to be listed with these smart women. Thank you!
Wow – great list to help like-minded women connect! I am looking forward to meeting these IndieChicks on Twitter!
Sima Dahl
Kelly, Sarah, Amy, Shelly, Sondra, Gwen, & Lynette – You are all very welcome!
AspenSpin – Yes, I do know some “indie biz dudes” … but my website is Indie Biz Chicks. Included in that list are women who have taught me things, inspire me, and are all around awesome. I don’t have anything against the dudes, but at the same time, I don’t think there is anything wrong with empowering and promoting women.
Sima – Definitely follow them… they are fantastic!
Thanks Crissy, I’m honored to be included 🙂
Awesome list, thank you for sharing the twitter love Chrissy!
Thanks for a great list!
I hope to make your next the round or recommendations!
Shann
If only I could edit my last comment. Grrr…
I hope to make your next round of twitter recommendations.
Thanks for being / providing a great resource for this Indie Biz Chick!
Great list! I already follow a few, will check out the rest!
It would be great if you could tell us why each tweeter is worth following. A random list isn’t that useful to me, although I recognize some of the ladies and I know why they’re included.
Just a suggestion! 🙂
I’ve seen many “who to follow lists” and I don’t think I’ve ever seen a note beside each one listing all the reasons why you should follow them.
To sum up all of my feelings, these are women who I have either learned things from, or helped me when I was just starting my site, who have inspired me, and are all kicking major ass in their own businesses.
But really – the point isn’t for me to sit here and explain why each one is so great… the point is for everyone reading this to get thee to their Twitter and start following them. Pronto!
Thanks for sharing. A great list, to be able to follow knowledgeable and women who are succeeding in business.
I’m glad your feeling better to continue working. May you grow in strength and good health.
Well, thank you! But I’m totally fine. I’m not going to let a B12 deficiency hold me back from anything. Seriously.
Great list! I already follow many of them but it was great finding the others. Thanks for putting this list together.
Fantastic list, it’s so great to have a source of such driven women!
What a fantastic roundup. Proud to already be following almost all of these women!
Crissy,
I would like to nominate Heidi @moorehn. I’ve been following her updates for a while. She fits your profile of “smart biz chick.” ; )
Steve
I’d recommend @MarilynSuttle – I just started following her. She’s got an interesting blog and video about dealing with difficult customers. And who doesn’t need that kind of advice?
This is a great idea. I’ve gotten out of the #FollowFriday thing, doesn’t seem particularly helpful.
