If you are thinking about teaching an online class, you may be wondering how to actually deliver the class. You have quite a few options. You are only limited by your own imagination. Here are a few ideas to get you started:
Web / Chat Room: This is a very flexible option if you are delivering your class live. You can meet in a web room / chat room, which will allow you to interact with your students in real time, share your desktop – which is very helpful if you are teaching people how to use software.
Video – You can stream your pre-recorded video live in a chat room if you would like to be able to answer questions at the same time, or you can simply load your videos and allow your students to watch on their own time.
Conference Call – Sometimes an “old-school” method is the easiest! There are lots of free conference call lines out there, and your students can dial in, even if they are on the go.
Audio Recording – You can record your live conference calls if you wish, and have them available for people who cannot make a live call, or you can choose to record at your own leisure, and have the audios available for your students to listen to at any time.
PDF – If you like to write down your lessons, I recommend providing them in PDF. This is a file extension (from Adobe) that can be opened by both Mac and PC users.
