Get Rid Of Blogger’s Block, Part 1

Coming up with ideas for blog posts can be one of the hardest parts of blogging!
Here are some tips on how to get rid of blogger’s block and keep coming up with ideas for fresh content:

Scan RSS Feeds – Download an RSS feed client on your computer or in your smartphone. Then go on a subscribing spree. Subscribe to every blog feed you can find in your industry. Subscribe to at least ten different blogs.
Now anytime you run out of ideas, all you need to do is whip out your RSS reader. Read through some of the things other people are talking about and use it as inspiration.

DO NOT copy someone else’s work! But you can use it for inspiration. For example, if one of your favorite bloggers wrote about their vacation to Maine, maybe that will bring back memories of a trip you took to Maine, or some other destination.

Or, if a blogger wrote about a problem they were having, you could write a blog post with what your solution would be. Link back to the original post, so that your readers can read that post, too.

Google It – Use Google’s  instant search tool to come up with ideas for what other people might be interested in. You can learn more about the tool here: https://www.google.com/instant  For example, let’s say you’re in the cooking niche. You could search something like “shortbread cookies” and see a variety of different phrases, all related to that term. These various phrases are  potential keywords to target.

I started sewing when was 8 years old on my great grandmother’s treadle sewing machine-piecing together vintage 1930 prints together. My mother got me hooked on quilting when my daughter was young and now that my children are grown, I have more time to pursue the things that interest me. pursuing my dream of selling my creations. My name is Brenda and I am a mixed media artist as I like to dabble in many areas of art-such as drawing, painting, sewing, and  quilting.   I have started my Etsy shop and have now sold a few items in a local store.
