Hello! I’m Doreen and I’m introducing myself here to readers of IndieBizChicks.com Blog.
I have always been interested in having a business of my own. I have two small businesses that I promote and also work in. One is a Green House Cleaning business and the other is Computer Repair.
I live in New Haven Ct in the beautiful East Rock area. It has a small town feel to it with lots of interesting old Victorian style houses and gourmet stores, great restaurants, and many coffee shops! New Haven is really a cool place to live except that it is becoming rather expensive.
My Green House Cleaning business is done part time. I like it because I can have extra time to pursue other interests and still make good money. Here’s the link to that site:

I market the Computer Repair business and my boyfriend is the tech. He is multi talented and extremely smart. He has many loyal clients, many from the Yale University community, and is always gaining new clients. This is his site I designed as a one page brochure:

I want to start a Marketing/Web Design business to grow and add on to the Computer Repair or to offer to those clients that new service. I actually went to school many years ago for Graphic Design/Illustration, but did many other jobs and ventures such as having art shows with photography and designing greeting cards, Tshirts, also Faux finishing. These ventures didn’t reap the rewards I was looking for because of various reasons which is why I’m now starting the Marketing/Web Design biz.
I am thrilled to be a part of this internship venture! What fun!
