Kelly’s Top 5 Favorite Daily Reads

It wasn’t easy for me to narrow it down to the top 5 blog sites that I enjoy reading on a daily basis, because I am an avid reader.  I love reading online and offline, and here is my list of must-read blog sites that I think you will enjoy reading as much as I do:

1) Little City Kitchen Co.
When I was asked to write a post about the top 5 blog sites that I enjoy reading, Little City Kitchen Co. was the first one that came to my mind.  Jill of Little City Kitchen Co. joined the small business world last summer and it is always interesting to see what she is up to each week.  She is probably one of the most honest bloggers I know – she talks about teaching her classes in cooking baby foods and selling her specialty foods for babies and toddlers at farmers markets.  She shares her everyday chaos as a small business owner as well.  I can relate to her everyday business-related chaos and at the same time I find it to be reassuring knowing that I am not the only one who experiences similar situations in the small biz world.

2) Papernstitch
Each time I visit this blog, I always leave Papernstitch blog feeling happy, refreshed, and inspired.  Papernstitch has become one of the blogs that I go to when I need a short break from working on my projects or writing to allow my brain to recharge.   Brittni of Papernstitch certainly knows how to keep her blog fresh with daily inspirations, tutorials, and other topics that are fun to read.

3) Etsy
If I were not an Etsy seller, I would still read their blog because they come up with interesting topics about arts, crafts, and design. My favorite things to read on their blog would be Quit Your Day Job, Featured Seller, How-Tuesday, Blogosphere, and Keep It Weird.  If I am thirsty for more of their writing, I turn to their daily email newsletters to learn more about their great finds on Etsy, helpful tips for sellers and Etsy teams.

4) Retro To Go
I feel like a kid in a candy store every time I visit their blog.  I love everything that is retro inspired especially if it is about the 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s, and beyond.   Retro To Go surely knows how to get my attention by posting retro inspired sneakers on their Facebook Fan page because I love wearing those kinds of sneakers.  They also have interesting geometric inspired items that draw me into their blog.

5) Dwell
Working for a residential design firm has gotten me interested in reading this blog.  They discuss different styles of architecture and interior design such as modern, futuristic, eco-friendly, etc.  I always learn something new each time I visit their blog.  They also cover home accessories that look appealing to me – something I would like to have in my home.  Their website/blog have mixed styles, which are modern and retro.  It is probably one of the reasons I enjoy reading their blog so much.

EXTRAS: And… of course, you can read my other blog post, Kelly’s Top 5 Favorite Posts on IndieBizChicks!  Also, you can find me on Modish & Retro blog.

Sincerely,
Kelly
