Michigan Business Raises $900 For Local Food Bank

Unique Surfaces, a local company located in downtown Davison, has raised $900 for Outreach East, an organization that provides food to local area families in need.

Unique Surfaces started the fundraising process this past July, by offering a raffle on one of their handmade Butler’s Butcher Blocks, valued at $975. “I’m proud to help the community, and partnering with Outreach East is a great way to give back,” said Unique Surfaces’ owner, Bill Albro.

The company raised funds by selling $1 raffle tickets for the item in their showroom, at The Farmer’s Market in Davison this past summer, and at The Women’s Expo in Flint in September.

The prize drawing took place on October 9 at Unique Surfaces showroom, during the Davison Pumpkin Festival. The winner was Rosemary Peterson of Davison.
