My first pedicure (and I totally deserved this)

Last week was a loooong week… I had a lot of stuff on my to-do list, had outpatient surgery… the list can go on and on. On Friday, I took a break from it all and had my first (real) pedicure! As in, in a spa! Yes, I know that may come as a shock to you, but I had just always painted my own toes…. (and now that I’ve had one, I can see myself getting them regularly)….

I drove out to Frankenmuth, Michigan, which is about a half hour from my house. It was a great day for a drive; very sunny and nice out. It had rained the night before, so some things were still wet and everything smelled fresh. I had my windows down and the music up the whole way there (LOVED IT!).

I chose to go to Serendipity Day Spa which is located in The Frankenmuth Riverplace, a collection of shops that look like they are from an old-world village with cobblestone streets. The interior of the spa was very relaxing right from the start.  Laurie Reinert performed my pedicure and she did such an amazing job! I chose a glittery gold color – I thought it was kinda rock n’ roll, but it also reminded me of summer…. (and after a long winter in Michigan, I’ll take whatever I can get that will remind me of summer!)

It’s hard to pick a favorite part, but I will say that the cooling mask was pretty awesome. By the time I left, my feet were so soft…. not to mention, I was so relaxed I wanted to crawl up in the back of the Malibu and take a nap. hahaha

If you live in Mid-Michigan, you can go into your local Chevy Dealer, test drive a Cruz, Malibu, or Traverse, and get your own $40 SpaFinder gift card… Trust me, you deserve this, too!
