It’s Saturday night – well, I guess it’s actually Sunday morning because it’s half past midnight, and I am sitting on the computer, editing audio for my podcasts and typing up blog posts.
While this may not seem like the coolest way to spend a Saturday night, it is VERY productive…. I am doing two weeks’ worth of work tonight.
My sister is coming to visit from March 15 – 22, and I am not going to be working much that week. Hey – we live 4,000 miles away from each other! I’m entitled to soak up all the time I can with her.
Next Saturday, I am traveling up to Anchorage to pick her up from the airport and we are staying the night in the big city before making the drive back down to my part of Alaska. And we’ll be spending that week traveling to all of our favorite Alaskan towns, visiting sea lions, feeding caribou and moose, and all kinds of fun stuff.
Thanks to WordPress, I am entering all these posts now, and setting the date stamp to publish them in the future.
Of course, WordPress isn’t the only software that allows you to do this, but it is the software that I use to manage my website and blog.
Being able to work at odd hours and pile on a bunch of work one day in order to take a few days off the next week are just some of the reasons I love digital products. Over the next few weeks, I’ll be talking about the benefits of these types of products on my podcast. I hope you find them as interesting as I do!
