So what do you think of FaceBook?

I’ve been on MySpace for several years, and I think it’s a great networking tool. I recently became introduced to FaceBook and am trying to figure it all out. It’s a lot different than I thought it would be – there are so many widgets and applications. But it does seem like a good place to network.

I’m not going to get rid of MySpace (click here to be my friend)…..

But I am going to spend some time getting to know what FaceBook is all about. I even created the Indie Biz Chicks group. I’m not quite sure how to promote my FaceBook profile yet, but search for me or send me your email and I’ll add you.

While you’re at it, send me any other FaceBook tips you can think of. I’m going to need them!

  1. I am pretty new to Facebook and still have a lot to learn. I originally joined it just to see pictures a friend posted online and now look at me go LOL! I joined your network there the other day. Still trying to find my way around though.

As for My Space, I don’t have a page there and probably won’t but you never know. I do enjoy spending time at My WAHM Space and from what I hear it’s similar to My Space but it’s for WAHM’s. My page there is https://www.mywahmspace.com/AngieN

I don’t have any Facebook tips to share but I could use some.

  2. I just requested to add you as a friend on MySpace. I actually never had any intentions of using MySpace as a networking tool. It was more for personal use and so I could hook up with old high school friends. As for Facebook – I can’t offer any tips there because I still haven’t figured it all out…LOL. It’s certainly way different than I expected it to be too!

  3. I’m glad to know I’m not the only one who was surprised by FaceBook – or had a learning curve with it : )

Tishia – I’m going to approve your request as soon as I log into MySpace today. And you’re right – I didn’t see it as a networking tool in the beginning. I joined several years ago, back before I even knew how to make websites. I didn’t even have a plan to build IndieBizChicks.com back then. But now it is one of my top referral sources.

Angie – I’m glad you found a place on the web that you enjoy, and as I learn more about FB I will post some tips : )

  4. I, too, am trying to work through Facebook and MySpace, and how I can use them as a networking tool. I haven’t quite got the hang of Facebook, but I’m working on it. I’ve sent a friend request to your MySpace account, and am trying to do the same with Facebook, but they are having technical difficulties this morning.

I would be interested in hearing more about what you learn from social networking.
