BlogHer is considered to be “the blogging conference” and is taking place in New York City on August 6 & 7. Over 2,000 women bloggers will be there, and this year, that number includes ME and my friends Beth and Lish.
Here are some of the reasons why I am so excited to be going to the BlogHer Conference:
- I’ve never been to a big blogging conference “in person” before. I’ve been to some smaller ones, and LOTS of virtual ones, but BlogHer will be the 1st big in person event.
- And on that note, I am going to get to meet a lot of people in real life, for the first time. There are many people who who’s blogs that I have been reading, who I’ve been corresponding with online, and even partnered with on projects, who I will get to (finally!) meet in real life!
- I’m lucky – I have some great friends that are local to me that are “into” blogging, Twitter, etc. And I know how much energy I get after we spend a couple hours talking and brainstorming. I can only imagine what kind of energy and ideas I will have after spending a couple of days at BlogHer!
- It’s in New York City this year! I’ve always wanted to visit; this will be my first time. Can’t wait!
- I get to go with my friends! It’s always great to go on adventures with your friends. Plus, we can learn more together. We can go to different sessions, and team back up, share our notes and learn three times as much. (and splitting hotel costs does make it a lot more affordable!)
