Want to increase your sales this holiday season? Consider grouping items together, and creating special “package deals.”
In many cases, these little incentives are all people need to make a purchase! I’m sure you’ve seen this yourself in your own shopping.
Have you ever purchased the fragrance, lotion, shower gel combo packs during the holiday season, simply because it was a better deal? Sure, it was more expensive – but still cheaper than buying all three items separately.
Another spin on this idea is to offer a free gift with purchase of $20 or $30 worth of product.
The cosmetic counters are famous for this! I know I’ve bought $20 worth of lipstick just to get the free make up bag of trial sized products. And I’ve done this many, many times!
If you want to introduce your business to new customers, partner with another business owner on a package deal. For example, if you make and/or sell candles, partner up with someone who makes and/or sells bath products and create a “holiday relaxation package” with candles and bath salts!
