I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again. If you offer a product, and you want to sell more of it, you don’t have to wait for a craft show or expo to come along. You can throw your own!

A few days ago, my friend Amy, who happens to be one half of Made With Luv, threw an Open House / Purse Party on Friday night. She invited everyone she knew, and told them that they could bring guests, too.  And many of them, did.

Amy displayed ready-to-buy items, as well as her fabric, so people could pick and choose what they wanted.

The result? $500 in orders! How awesome is that?

She didn’t spend a lot of money to create the event – it was held in her home. She didn’t spend a lot of money to advertise it – she posted an invite on Facebook.

If you have been thinking about trying something like this, go for it!
