I’m sure you’ve heard the phrase “Actions speak louder than words.” This phrase can ring true in all areas of life – from your business to your relationships and so forth.
I can tell you that from my experience, the number one key to success has been ACTION.
I remember when I got the idea for this site. It easily could have just stayed an idea, a thought in my head. I didn’t know how to make a website. If I told anyone my idea, they’d just look at me like I was crazy. I could have easily just kept it as an idea and moved on.
Instead, I took action.
I searched online for tutorials on how to make a website. I taught myself how to do it. I started creating content. I used social media to meet people and wrote articles for magazines, guest blog posts, etc. I did anything and everything to get the word out about my site.
It wasn’t long before I was earning a profit, and now I fully support myself with my online business.
When I started my site, I was 29. I was living in Alaska and I wasn’t very happy with the relationship I was in or the way my life was working out. I wanted to move back home to Michigan and be with my family. As we all know, Michigan’s economy isn’t the best, and I had no college degree. The forecast wasn’t that great.
Instead of wallowing in despair, I took a chance. I took a chance on what I could accomplish. I took that little idea that I had and I kept working on it and working on it until I made it a reality.
Within a year of starting that site, I was back in Michigan. I had to completely start my life over, but I was ready for the challenge. I came back with one suitcase – and no car.
I had realized my dream of creating a website, and next, I had to create the life I wanted. And I did.
I work my business around my schedule. I am able to spend a lot of time with my family. I am able to watch my baby niece several days each week, and am there to pick up my (almost) 9 year old nephew from school and take my 13 year old nephew to his friends, and all the other places a teenager wants a ride to.
It took hard work, determination, and a lot of ACTION… But I did it.
You can have the life you want and the career you dream of.
You just need to take ACTION!
